Motivation

When we invested in bitcoin 5 years ago, we thought it was cool. But we saw its limitations. Its not scalabale, and you can’t do anything with it. Digital gold is good to have, but not terribly exciting for day to day life.

When we started using social media more than 10 years ago, it was fun. And it was free. And a few of us were able to get rich by making popular content. But the majority of us just stayed watching, and didn’t reap any financial rewards. And at some point, we realized how much money big tech companies were making off us, without us owning any of the share. Not cool.

Earlier this year (2021) we started investing in NFTs and play-to-earn games. The Ethereum blockchain was where everything was happening, as it was the first mover. That’s great. But now we are paying $100 gas fees? That’s not great.

And then we discovered Solana, and we got really excited. Because it works just like Ethereum, but the transaction fees are a fraction of a penny. Its super fast. And the Phantom Wallet is far better to use than Metamask (especially for holding NFTs).

This is where the Buji Community comes in. We are starting out as a “meme token”, because that is what gets attention. But don’t get it confused – behind the cute and silly image are a team of savages.

This is the first step in a long journey. We don’t have a crystal ball and can’t say for sure how things will unfold. The first step is to launch this token and start rewarding the early supporters. We are on the lookout for a practical web3 app ideas that will empower the youth. We are on the lookout of an idea on how to get more women involved in crypto. Whatever we end up building in the future, it will likely be user generated and user owned.
